Cooler than average spring, hot summer and warm fall with much lower than average precipitation. White wines are very flavourful and have great acid balance. Red wines are still barrel aging and are showing elegant fruit and soft tannins. 2005 - another Vintage year. Aging potential!

2006 IDEAL POINTE - Barrel Fermented Chardonnay

uttery rich baked apple, with tropical fruit, spicy oak, vanilla and butter.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, mid to heavy weight.
Award winning wine is big on the attack, with great oak/butter/vanilla filling in the mid palate, and ripe tannins on the long clean finish.
2006 SYRAH

Aroma: Dark stone fruit & white pepper
Palate: Pleasant with peppery spice finish
Warmer than average summer & fall with an average rainfall which produced fuller bodied wines. A reserve quality year. 2007 vintage has excellent prospects to produce high quality wine. With the long warm season, wines made from grapes that benefit from longer ripening times should show particularly well.
